PORTALES, N.M.— Over her basketball career at Eastern New Mexico University, Treena Royston-Dockery established herself as one of the top players in team history. On Saturday, Royston-Dockery will return to center stage, as she is inducted into the ENMU Athletic Hall of Honors. Tickets are available in the ENMU athletic office for $15. Although she remains 15th on the Zia career-scoring list, former head coach Wayne Moore considered her a defensive specialist, making her a key component on both sides of the floor, when Eastern captured the Lone Star Conference championship in 1993, with a 23-5 record and a 12-2 mark in the conference. In 1994-95, Royston-Dockery was presented with the Silver Pride Award, for leadership, coachability and loyalty.
Currently, she is an active member if the American Business Women’s Association Greenspoint and has served as the association’s secretary. Royston-Dockery has also held numerous volunteer positions within youth sports programs.
