Daven Võ comes back to Portales in April 2024 after serving as associate head coach for the University of Colorado Colorado Springs. The Mountain Lions finished tenth in his lone season in the Rocky Mountain Athletic Conference.

He brings more than 15 years of coaching experience to the Land of Enchantment and is no stranger to ENMU. The newest head coach spent three years in Portales from 2020-23.

In his time with the Greyhounds, he saw the team go 24-29, including a ten win improvement from the 2021-22 season to the 2022-23 campaign. He coached several all-Lone Star Conference honorees at Eastern New Mexico, including Kentrell Pullian, Errol White, Jahcoree Ealy, Eze Dike, Greg Johnson, Blazej Czerniewicz, and Jose Murillo.

In his final year with the Hounds, the team advanced to the Lone Star Conference tournament for the 23rd time in program history. They managed to win the most conference games (12) in ENMU history and led the league in steals (8.2 spg), turnovers forced (16.76 tfpg), and rebounds (36.76 rpg).

Võ spent three years as an assistant coach at Butler Community College in El Dorado, Kansas where the program accumulated 55 total wins.

Prior to his time in Kansas, he spent 11 years in Arizona at Grand Canyon University and South Mountain Community College. In 2010, at the age of 26, he became the head coach at SMCC. In seven years at the helm, he won over 100 games, coached four all-americans, won a region title, advanced to the 2015 national tournament, and was recognized as coach of the year.

Võ holds a degree in information systems from St. Gregory’s in Shawnee, Okla.
