Hendrickson Nets Game Winner for Hounds Against Pioneers

Sunday, September 25, 2016

COMMERCE, TEXAS — After it was decided that the field at Texas Woman's University was unplayable for Sunday's Lone Star Conference match, the Eastern New Mexico University women's soccer team (2-4-1; LSC 1-1) played its second straight contest at Lion Field. Tori Hendrickson connected on a penalty kick for the game-winning goal, 28:34 into play to lift the Greyhounds to a 2-0 victory over the Pioneers (4-3; LSC 0-2).

The win moved Eastern to 6-10-1 overall against TWU and snapped a three-game skid in the series. It also was the second time the teams met on a neutral field. The previous time was at last year's Lone Star Conference Championships, in San Angelo, Texas.
