PORTALES, N.M. — Eastern New Mexico University Football Coach Kelley Lee is proud to announce that a number of talented athletes have are set to play for the Greyhounds in the upcoming 2017 season. Lee will look to the newcomers to bolster a lineup, which reached the postseason in each of the last two years and has won 27 contests over the last four seasons.

"Nate brings great value to our FB position, having played in an offense similar to ours while at Bristow High School. He is a big bodied, physical downhill runner that is going to be an excellent fit within our scheme."

"A few years ago we took a chance on an 8 man player from Logan, NM by the name of
Wyatt Strand. After a red shirt season Wyatt was named the LSC freshman of the year in 2016. If Jerome has half the career Wyatt has had, we have got us another good one out of Logan. Jerome is a grinder on the football field. He is a tenacious football player that has played every position at least once. We are projecting Jerome to be at tight end or outside linebacker."
