Great Moments at Greyhound Stadium
The Curse of Blackwater Draw

Greyhound Stadium seats 6,100 fans, including an area of enclosed seating on the home side of the field. The enclosed seating is underneath the stadium’s large press box. The stadium is equipped with lights. ENMU will play three of its four home games at night this season.

The press box has a spacious media room, as well as rooms for the coaches from both teams, home and visiting radio stations, and the scoreboard operator and public address announcer. All Greyhound Stadium seating is elevated above field level, providing an excellent view of the game.

A scoreboard with a message center was used for the first time in 2000. It provides information about the game in progress, plus future events and scores from other games.

Greyhound Stadium is just one of ENMU’s outstanding athletic facilities. Other facilities include Greyhound Arena for men’s and women’s basketball and women’s volleyball, Greyhound Field for baseball, Zia Softball Field, the Zia Tennis Complex and the ENMU Soccer Field.

The volleyball and basketball seasons bring excitement to Greyhound Arena, one of the finest NCAA Division II facilities in the Southwest. It holds 4,800 spectators, with chair-back seating on the lower level.

Greyhound Arena has three indoor and six outdoor racquetball courts, a fitness center, an athletic training center, locker rooms and a weight training room. The arena includes classrooms and offices for the Athletic Department and the Health and Physical Education Department.

Inside the arena is the Wallace Maxwell Physical Activities Center. It was upgraded in recent years with several new treadmills, cardiovascular equipment, weight machines, mirrors and free weights. Located outside Greyhound Arena is a message center, which highlights upcoming games and events.

Greyhound Field was built by Eastern’s baseball team when the program was revived in 1992. Over the summer, the team constructed a new fence, giving the field new dimensions. (Left, 356 ft.; Right, 343 ft.; Center, 410 ft.). The field includes bleacher seating, a press box and bullpens.

Zia Softball Field features a scoreboard, a dirt infield, and a grass outfield. Grass also provides an attractive buffer between the field and dugouts. There are bleachers, a batting cage and bullpens.

The ENMU soccer field has natural grass with bleacher seating, a new scoreboard, pressbox and weather-protected benches for both teams.
